Machine-Readable File Link Update Coming January 1, 2026
On October 29, 2020, federal agencies released the Transparency in Coverage final rules. Among other provisions, group health plans and health insurance issuers are required to create and publish machine readable files containing certain pricing information on a publicly accessible website. Employers, particularly self-funded, may publish this link on their own internal or external websites for compliance purposes.
What’s Changing:
Starting January 1, 2026, the link currently used to access Premera machine readable files will change.

- New link (effective January 1, 2026): https://www.premera.com/visitor/transparency
Employer groups that use the link on their website or embedded in any digital materials must update it before January 1, 2026, to ensure uninterrupted access.
Looking Ahead
We’re making this update now to ensure that any future changes to the link or location of Premera machine readable files are automatic and seamless so employers with the link posted on their website won’t have to update it again.
