Update on Negotiations with Providence Alaska Medical Center and St. Elias Specialty Hospital

Providence Alaska and Premera have agreed on a 3-year contract, resulting in no disruption to Premera patients receiving care at Providence Alaska Medical Center or St. Elias Specialty Hospital. The contract is effective through May 31, 2028.

The new contract allows members across all Premera lines of business to retain in-network access to healthcare services with no disruption.

Premera and Providence Alaska entered negotiations with the goal of continuing to provide access to local, high-quality care for those with Premera health plans, as well as fair reimbursement for services provided. The new contract represents collaboration between two organizations and aims to provide stability and access to care for patients throughout Alaska.
